EasyApache Deflate Module

mod_deflate is available for Apache 2.x.

Apache 1.3 uses mod_gzip for similar functionality.

Some things to understand when trying to use it:

1. Currently, no global configuration is done automatically. That means it is there, but it's not doing anything yet.
2. It can be configured for a user via cPanel's "Optimize Website." If it is not available, the interface will explain that.
3. To monitor whether and how it's working: compare the bytes transferred with it off and on, and perhaps other permutations of settings.
